It aims to enhance the learners’ language and communication skills in general and endeavors in imparting the basics of mathematics and physical sciences in particular; besides focusing on the total awareness of the Environment. The Department explores the origins and products of our students’ capacity for creativity and communication thereby contributing to both linguistic and cultural distinct aspects. Kite has diligent teachers to meet the needs of its students in their immediate and long-range futures. The faculty aspires at refining methodologies and practices in their processes of teaching for the academic growth of the students, which will ultimately lead towards the production of new knowledge and improved understanding/acquisition of the subject. The uniqueness of the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences at KITE is its additional dimension of an advanced, practical approach in the teaching of subjects. In the new era of Information Technology (IT), the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences will have its teaching geared more towards a career-oriented approach which would prepare students to face the challenge of globalization in the competitive market. EnglishLanguage Lab: In this well equipped lab English will be taught in its own right as a language where communication skills are mastered. But once mastered, the teaching (especially in the third year) will be geared more towards specific trades or careers that are required in the real life situations such as skills required by IT professionals, translators, travel agents, proof readers, lexicographers, curriculum developers, teachers, and so on. Henceforth all third year students will be given regular soft skills training to make them more employable.
